Teenagers in this generation sometimes feel like they have to fit in to be considered ‘popular’. Wrong. As we get older and technology becomes more apparent we start to realise that ‘Love’ is no longer an issue. Now for me, growing up, I always pictured meeting the man of my dreams, getting married and having children. But it seems that as I log into these social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc, I am swarmed with messages from guys asking me to ‘Come round and chill’.
First of all, Don’t feel like you have to do anything you don’t want to.
Secondly, don’t just jump to conclusions and think they only want your mother of saints. Some guys do actually want to ‘Chill’.
The most important thing is… If somebody tries it on with you and you DON’T want to do anything then DON’T, if they continue to pressure you then LEAVE.
I feel it’s important to raise this issue because having sex is not ‘cool’. It should be kept private for a start.
There have been many times when I hit it off with a guy and somehow the conversation always leads to talking about sex. SEX, SEX, SEX, SEX, SEX. 5 years ago that meant Male or Female. But now we’re constantly talking about the different types, ORAL, FOREPLAY, POSITIONS. ETC. BOOOOOOORING.
Sometimes, I just wish I could go back to the 50’s where we didn’t have things like porn. I mean, a doctor isn’t going to anally fist you whilst he’s giving you treatment for piles is he? No, just unrealistic.
The most important message girls (and boys) is to be yourself. If you meet someone they will love you for you and won’t care if you make them wait. If you like sex, fine. If you don’t, fine. Who cares?
